Welcome
to Circus Goldens, home to some pretty goofy golden boys and girls!
We are Sally Anne & Dave Rowland, and currently live in Myakka
City FL on 5 fenced acres, we are privileged to share our lives with
some pretty amazing canines.
Our journey in this breed began 10 years ago in 1997 with our first golden
Bailey. We are members in good standing of the GRCA, MFGRC
& FGCGRC. During
2005 & 2006 Sally Anne
served as a Board Member for the Mid-FL Golden Retriever Club. Sally
Anne was awarded the Lloyd Kiernan Award in 2006 by the MFGRC
members. In 2007 Sally Anne has taken on the role of newsletter
editor and PR for the MFGRC.
We
are currently active with our dogs in the following areas: conformation,
rally, regular obedience, and in the past we were very active in therapy dog work
for Hospice House, we remain strong supporters of golden retriever rescue.
In late 2007 Sally Anne decided to pursue a
career in professional conformation handling and training for a few

All of our own personal dogs WITHOUT EXCEPTION must be able to
live together as a pack, we do separate dogs into workable groups
when necessary for tennis ball playing OR in age appropriate groups.
For example we do not let young puppies run with full grown adults
as they may over exert themselves trying to keep up.
We
believe strongly in upholding the true nature and temperament of the
Golden Retriever, see below the quote pulled from the Breed Standard
of the GRCA.
"Temperament
-- friendly, reliable and trustworthy. Quarrelsomeness or hostility
towards other dogs or people in normal situations, or an unwarranted
show of timidity or nervousness, is not in keeping with Golden
Retriever character. Such actions should be penalized according to
their significance."
